					Dew Claw
Vestigial and rudimentary digit of the foot. 
Some digitigrade animals, including dogs and cats, may have dew claws located on the medial (inner) side of the foot, (usually) too high up to make contact with the ground or register in tracks.

Vestigial
Remaining as a remnant or trace of a structure that had been present in the ancestors of a species.
Often the original functionality is (to some degree) now lacking, and the structure has become rudimentary or degenerate.
