Domestic dogs or domestic cats that have ancestries registered as purebreds.
Also refers to the ancestries of purebred dogs or cats.
Once purebred pets are registered, they may be referred to as pedigrees.
Pedigrees also refers to the registration documents detailing bloodlines (ancestry).
