Cheetah
(Acinonyx jubatus)
Paws are described as semi-retractile because the cheetah lacks the sheath skin of its felid cousins, and so claws are visible even when not protracted.
This may provide greater traction for high-speed running. The cheetah is the fastest land animal.
The  dew claw is shorter and straighter than that of other felids.
Unlike other cats, the cheetah is not a good climber.
