Plantigrade
Walking on soles of feet.
Plantigrade describes the orientation or progression of animals bearing weight on the plantar surfaces of the entire tarsal, metatarsal and phalangeal regions of the foot.
Humans, bears, badgers, hedgehogs and kangaroos are plantigrade.
Animals that are digitigrade as adults may use plantigrade forms of locomotion when young. For example, until the age of about six weeks, kittens are plantigrade, or semi-plantigrade.
