Gait
The pattern of movement of animals during (terrestrial) locomotion.

A characteristic of a pet that deviates from the breed standard.

Trot
A symmetrical, two-beat gait in which diagonally contralateral limbs move in unison.

Forefoot
The foot of a cranial (anterior or front) limb.
Reach
The distance a limb can be extended.
Hind Foot
The foot of a caudal (posterior or rear) limb.
Hindquarters
The hind region of the dog, from the loin.
Forequarters
The front region of an animal, excluding the head and neck.
Gallop
The fastest gait of an animal, in which all four feet are off the ground during the stride.
