The taxonomic family of cats, which is divided
into:
1. Pantherinae (tigers, lions, jaguars and leopards).
2. Felinae (domestic cats, cougars, caracals, servals, lynxes, ocelots and cheetahs).
Cheetahs are sometimes classified separately as acinonychinae.
